Under Canvas is opening its first California location just minutes from Yosemite National Park.
Glamping giant Under Canvas is coming to Yosemite next year with its newest location. Located in Big Oak Flat just 10 minutes from the park’s gate, the new property will feature a variety of canvas tent glamping options.
From deluxe tents designed for two guests to their six-person El Capitan Suite, the property has a great selection for a wide array of visitors. One of their coolest options will be their stargazer tents that come equipped with a rooftop window so you can fall asleep underneath the glistening stars.
Fans of Under Canvas love the glamping brand for bringing a luxurious feel into an outdoor environment, which is great for beginners or those who are uncertain about sleeping in the dirt. The new location includes a private bathroom with organic toiletries and body care products in each tent — bougie!
And if that’s not enough glamour for you, catch this: each tent is decked out in West Elm furnishings. Just like home.
On top of the lodgings themselves, the property will also have amenities like morning yoga classes, live music, nightly s’mores by the fire, and on-property dining. The goal of Under Canvas is simple: find that finessed line between dirt bag and luxury — and then stick to it.
They will also have an experienced coordinator who can help plan hikes or other adventures into Yosemite National Park.
Making journeys into the park even easier, the property is within walking distance from a Yosemite YARTS shuttle stop, and Under Canvas will offer takeaway meals for anyone looking to spend the whole day in Yosemite.
The first season at the new location will run from May 22-October 27, 2025, and they’re already accepting bookings. Nightly rates are currently $319-$379 per night.
Under Canvas also has properties at tons of other National Parks around the country, including Acadia, Glacier, and Zion National Park.
