Paige Triola is a Pennsylvania-born, Colorado-based freelance writer specializing in outdoor
gear, camping, hiking, and travel. While she has been an avid outdoor enthusiast and explorer
since childhood, she’s been writing professionally about these things for the past 5 years.
Before she took up freelance journalism full time, Triola dabbled in various work experiences
such as building and maintaining trails in Kentucky, managing company blogs and social media accounts at a digital marketing agency, and working as a web producer for Rodale, Inc.
Triola’s favorite topic to cover is travel—she loves to visit and write about exciting destinations
for outdoor adventure. She enjoys traveling all over the United States but is particularly fond of the towering mountains and wide open landscapes of Colorado, a state that offers seemingly limitless opportunity for exploration. Outside of the U.S., Triola adores Costa Rica for its colorful natural beauty and Italy for its warm connection to her family heritage.
As for gear, Triola’s favorite product to test so far has been the Ultralight Carbon Fiber Quick Lock 2-Section Trekking Poles (whew!) by Cascade Mountain Tech, as they promptly converted her to a trekking pole hiker. Her knees are grateful.
Triola attended Lafayette College in Pennsylvania to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, which she didn’t even know was possible. Equipped with a scientific education, she logically decided to pursue a writing career and has produced articles for Runner’s World, Bicycling, Popular Mechanics, GearJunkie, Wide Open Spaces, and other titles primarily in the athletic and outdoor recreation sphere.
