1. The Summit Cabin

The Summit Cabin is one of three Hipcamps at The Waldhaus Resort, a collection of off-grid accommodations built by Switzerland-born host Hans. The simple two-story home is a 15-minute hike from a trailhead on property near Pisgah National Forest, located on a quiet half-acre with stunning views of the valley below.
It’s rustic, but The Summit is well-stocked for meals in the backcountry, and a heater inside offers enough comfort in colder months. If your idea of glamping is closer to backpacking than anything else, you’ll dig the Summit’s remote location and epic surroundings.
“Super secluded, private and quiet,” said Hipcamp guest Michael. “You can hear the water flowing from the beautiful creek down by the road where you will park.”

2. Green Willow Farm Yurt

5. Shoestring Creek Campground Cabin

Shoestring Creek Campground’s 40 acres in Cherokee National Forest are home to a handful of quiet, primitive cabins about an hour from Asheville. The cabins are rustic but clean, simple but sufficient for exploring the nearby Smoky Mountains.

6. Little Green Yurt of Cedar Mountain
