A 4WD or AWD vehicle with high clearance and low gear is recommended for the drive back to this remote. It’s located off the Bachelor Loop, a 17-mile scenic drive just outside of Creede. The area is a prime spot for hiking and ATV touring in the summer or snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter.

Though you’re in a truly secluded and remote location (and should come prepared for as much,) this yurt is far from “roughing it.” It comes with a propane cookstove and refrigerator, solar lighting, and a composting toilet. There’s no running water, but the hosts provide water jugs during your stay. There’s also a fabulous raised deck with a propane fire pit, so you may just find that sitting on the deck, soaking in the outstanding scenery is all the relaxation you need.
